Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision making across the organization. This position serves as a key resource in delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights to internal business partners. Success in this role requires expertise in the design, development, implementation, and support of mission critical enterprise reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI, HTML or other visualization platforms. This position will be required to travel to other LSCC facilities as needed. The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer will collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization, must be able to maintain professional working relationships, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with end users to understand business needs, gather report requirements, and recommend best-practice BI solutions.
  • Analyze data workflows and user processes to ensure accuracy, validate results, and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL processes to support efficient, scalable, and meaningful reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data marts, and data extracts to support operational, financial, and clinical decision-making.
  • Provide training and support to end users on BI tools and report functionality.
  • Monitor report performance and partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement using data-driven insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency by combining innovative thinking with technical expertise.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all dashboards, reports, analyses, and related processes.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate quality assurance policy and required documentation.
  • Develop solutions to ingest external data sources such as enrollment, claims, and other third-party files into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Design and document the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate system-generated reports and assess advanced reporting needs.
  • Document key findings, issues, and decisions throughout project and report development cycles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

  • Technical Skills: Advanced level understanding of SQL (creating or modifying SP, data-marts and ETL )
  • 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare reporting and analyses
  • 5+ years developing and maintaining ETL processes
  • Strong knowledge and experience in clinical analyses and medical terminologies
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, statistics or Data Analysis
  • Strong healthcare financial reporting, preferrable in a FQHC type organization
  • Experience navigating an EMR system and the associated tables
  • Healthcare informatics experience highly preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft tools; PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and VisualStudio
