  • Overview

    Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare grant proposals and reporting documentation for submission to third-party entities as well as assist in the coordination of grant award implementation.


    • Identify and research private and governmental funding sources to support existing and planned programs that align with the organization's mission and strategic plan.
    • Develop and compose grant proposals and required supporting documentation.
    • Write progress reports; thank you letters, letters of inquiry, and other documents as needed.
    • Create presentations and informational materials related to grant sources, grant funding and/or grant performance for the executive team, in addition to third-party entities.
    • Research and demonstrate knowledge of current population data and health care trends, policies, and regulations on a local, state, and national level.
    • Assist in demonstrating LSCC’s compliance with Health Center Program requirements and other grant funder obligations.
    • Serve as an internal lead resource for various grant-related projects including guiding project implementation and ongoing monitoring of performance.
    • Collaborate with staff members in other departments to determine current and planned organizational initiatives as they relate to grant seeking and reporting processes.
    • Maintain electronic records of all grant-related documentation.
    • Attend workshops, conferences, and informational sessions hosted by current and potential funders and other strategic partners.

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Health, Business, or related field
    • Previous grant writing experience


    • Previous health care or nonprofit experience
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently
